10 meter CB radio?

here's the deal I just bought a galaxy 10 meter radio DX99V that has peaked and tuned to an output of about of 200Watts, will be a 10 meter CB freqencies operate ham? you have the option of using PA, FM, AM, USB, LSB. and I'm afraid I'll try ruine to establish the steel cables because I do not know how far the antenna is out of calibration, and I do not want to damage it when I'm trying to set up cables steel. I'm using as a base station, but I need somone to help me out before I mess with the settings and ruine my $ 300 radio. has a frquency counter if this helps. here is the link any help would be apriciated http://www.www.premiere-electronics.net/store/galaxydx99v.html.

Oh boy … where to start? … This does not mean that the sound "sermon" is just to know where you stand, as the sounds of it, they are not very experienced with CB radios … First, the "central bank" has become a central bank is not at all, and it is illegal to use in the U.S. (Do not know where you are.) Secondly, yes, this unit covers most of the band's 10-Meter Ham in the case of "actions" state, and it is. If amended, cover the entire above, the CB band, and many U.S. Government frequencies that may come in a little hot water if caught in MAIN transmitting them. Thirdly, if I told you that draws 200 watts, then pulled a scam on you very well, apparently fell through. Good luck getting more than the actions 10Watts AM / FM or SSB 25 Watts … As for the steel cables is if the company does not screw massive radio with his "pick and Tweak," there must be a key issue in an antenna badly tuned for a few seconds at a time to try to get your SWRs below … Oh, and one last thing. While the role of SWR radio can be useful in allowing you to whether there is a problem with the LATER * * IN CA, do not trust him to fix the antenna. Get a good SWR meter and connect it somewhere online. The radio unit works well to see if there is a problem, but they are not all that accurate, and not to make a good choice for initial setup.
