Can i use an outdoor HDTV antenna, indoors? Why or why not? Thanks?
For instance, the Antennas Direct DB4 outdoor HDTV antenna versus the Antennas Direct DB2 HDTV indoor antenna. I am looking for stronger signal and wondering if this would work. Thanks a lot!
Yes, you could use an outdoor antenna indoors. You may loose a little signal strength because of the walls or roof of the house, but it will definitely work.
That particular antenna is a two bay bow tie. It should work well for UHF (channels 14+) but not so well for VHF (channels 2 – 13). Make sure that after February 17 there won’t be any stations in your area moving back to VHF. Also, that type of antenna is fairly directional so you need to have the face aimed in the general direction of the transmitters.
